This fast and flavorful salmon recipe is as simple as it is delicious. This is another healthy alternative to mix up your weeknight meals. This ginger glaze will become a staple to add to your recipe arsenal because it amps up anything! Add it to chicken, fish or vegetables to give it that extra something.

4 (8 ounce) fresh salmon fillets
1 tablespoon hot chili paste (such as Sambal Oelek or Sriracha)
1 tablespoon finely grated ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup cold water
salt to taste
1 tablespoon of chopped scallions
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

1. Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.

2. Season salmon fillets with salt

3. Place salmon on the preheated grill and cook for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

4. Combine water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili paste, ginger, garlic and soy sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.

5. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer until barely thickened, about 4 minutes.

6. Sprinkle scallions on top of salmon and spoon glaze over the top.

Lightly finish with sesame seeds if desired, as shown in the picture.
